    GENESEO, NY - Tourism reached another high in 2017 infusing more than $84.3 million into the Livingston County economy. For the fifth straight year the number of people visiting Livingston County for leisure has increased.

    Adventures Calls Outfitters Expands Offerings for 2018 Summer Season

    GENESEO, NY - The lure of the gorge. Every year nearly 800,000 people from across the region, state, country, and world visit Letchworth State park to marvel at the “Grand Canyon of the East.” They may hike, camp, swim, or picnic, but eventually they make their way to one of the many overlooks, some towering more than 600 feet above the Genesee River. It’s beautiful to view the gorge walls and see the many layers of exposed geological features, and there at the bottom is the river making its way north toward Lake Ontario.

    Annual County Visitor Guide Released

    The Livingston County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism has just released the Official 2018 Livingston County Visitor Guide. The annual guide serves as the area’s most comprehensive source of information for travelers and visitors to the County. The Chamber & Tourism office partnered with designer Cindy Harris of Harris Studios, Inc. to create the 60 page, full color, month-by-month journal-themed publication, offering visitors detailed recommendations about the region’s attractions, entertainment, shopping, dining, parks & recreation, lodging, and signature events.

    County’s 2nd Largest Industry Celebrated by Chamber

    Geneseo – Twenty-eight individuals joined the Livingston County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism earlier this month for its 15th annual “FAM” tour. A “FAM” tour is tourism industry slang for Familiarization Tour and the theme of this event was arts and culture.

    Livingston County Gains National Attention

    Livingston County’s location between the Finger Lakes and the glacial geology of Western NY has continually piqued the interest of travel writers both nationally and internationally. In a January 2018 Newsday article that ran in both Japan and Mexico City, this region was listed as “A Destination to Visit In 2018.” Earlier this month, TIME and MSN listed the Finger Lakes and Western New York as one of the “27 Underrated US Destinations Everyone Should Visit in their Lifetime.”
