Tourism and agriculture interests joined together at events in Auburn and Avon on Wednesday, July 12th to launch the 2007-2008 campaign to promote agri-tourism along a 135-mile stretch of Routes 5 & 20, located between Lafayette at the east and Batavia and Darien on the west end.

May 26th is William Pryor Letchworth Day in Livingston County

If there was ever a man to honor or a day in which to honor a man, this is the day. May 26th is also Mr. Letchworth's birthday and should be celebrated with proclamations, parades, fireworks and moments of silence; however, in everything I've been able to read about this truly remarkable man even a day named for him and of no notice whatsoever would have been too much for him.

The results are in for tourism - we're friendly

It was largely good news reported by Randall Travel Marketing, a travel marketing organization commissioned by the 14-county Tourism Promotion Agencies of the Finger Lakes Region along with Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance to conduct tourism research within our communities. Some thing we already knew, some thing we hoped were true and some things need our attention.
